Riley Green

Born in Jacksonville, Alabama, Riley Green was raised on the sounds of traditional Country, Bluegrass, and Southern Gospel music. He learned the spirit of songwriting and performing at a young age while spending time with his grandfather, Bufford Green, who ran the Golden Saw Music Hall. Riley shared the stage with him and other men of his generation, laying a foundation for the songs he’d craft in the years to come. His full-length debut album DIFFERENT ‘ROUND HERE was released in 2019 via BMLG Records and has produced GOLD-certified No. 1 hit “There Was This Girl” and GOLD-certified single “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” – a song People praised, “might take him to a whole new stratosphere,” and one he shares co-writing credits posthumously alongside his two grandfathers. Highlighting his Southern roots and relatability, he co-wrote each track offering a perspective Rolling Stone describes as “Drinks-in-the-air Nineties country at an Alabama vs. Auburn tailgate.” Nominated for Best New Country Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards he was also voted as one of CRS’ 2020 New Faces and was named MusicRow’s Breakout Artist of the Year at their Country Breakout Awards. Green was also selected as a CMT “Listen Up Artist” and one of MusicRow’s 2019 “Next Big Things.” After 2019 on Brad Paisley’s 2019 WORLD TOUR, his own GET THAT MAN A BEER TOUR and Jon Pardi’s HEARTACHE MEDICATION TOUR he kicked off 2020 on Jason Aldean’s WE BACK TOUR through the Spring.

Their full-length debut album, Thug Walkin’, appeared later in 2000. Alley…Return of the Ying Yang Twins from 2002 sold well down South, but it was the duo’s 2003 team-up with Lil Jon — “the King of Crunk” — that brought them nationwide success. The party anthem “Salt Shaker” was a massive club and radio hit and soon had the TVT label chasing the duo to sign. They did, and their first album for the label, Me & My Brother, yielded two more crunk hits, “What’s Happnin!” and “Naggin’.” The same year the duo appeared on Britney Spears’ album In the Zone and her television special of the same name.

Their self-produced fifth studio album, WHISKEY MYERS, out now on the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records, debuted at No. 1 on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, at No. 2 on the Rock chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. In total, Whiskey Myers have sold more than 1.2 million albums and amassed over 1.5 billion streams while earning three RIAA Gold certifications. USA Today describes the band led by front man Cody Cannon as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stone noting, “It’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.” The band known for their high-energy live show and unique sound has also earned sync success with features (and an appearance) in Paramount Network’s hit show “Yellowstone” as well as the Renée Zellweger-led Netflix series “What/If,” the Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and hit CBS series “SEAL Team.”
